Encinitas

The coastal city of Encinitas is a 'surfers paradise'. Situated just south of Carlsbad, north of Cardiff and Solana Beach, Encinitas boasts beautiful Moonlight beach, the famous 'Swami's' surfing break and is home to some of the best runners, triathletes and surfers in the world. The Scripps Encinitas Hospital complex just west of the I-5 on Santa Fe Dr., is one of San Diego's finest health care facilities. Escondido

At the heart of North County lies the historic city of Escondido, ('hidden' in spanish), one of the oldest settlements in San Diego County. Incorporated as a city in 1888, Escondido boasts not only a mild climate but a diverse economy based on agriculture, tourism, retail, high tech and light industry.
